Our Story

Brut Studios creates modern home textiles shaped by clarity, craft, and quiet design. Designed in Berlin. Crafted in Egypt. Made to last.

Brut Studios was born between two places that shaped the brand in different ways.

Berlin offers structure. Its architecture, muted tones, and open spaces influence the way we think about form and atmosphere. It teaches reduction, removing what is unnecessary so the essential can stand on its own.

Egypt offers material knowledge. The region’s textile heritage spans generations, with weaving, dyeing, and sewing happening within close proximity. The expertise is deep, quiet, and practiced. It is a place where Egyptian cotton is not an idea but a living craft.

Brut Studios brings these two worlds together. The clarity of Berlin and the material integrity of Egypt help create bedding that feels contemporary, grounded, and made with intention.

Design Philosophy

Our design approach begins with reduction: fewer lines, fewer colors, fewer distractions. A palette drawn from architecture, concrete surfaces, and natural materials. Patterns inspired by rhythms found in facades and shadows.

Every piece is designed to be calm, functional, and timeless. We focus on proportion, tone, and texture, elements that shape the atmosphere of a bedroom without overwhelming it.

The goal is simple: create textiles that feel good to live with. Pieces that soften with time, settle into daily rituals, and age with quiet character.

Craft & production

All Brut products are crafted in Egypt using extra-long staple Egyptian cotton, a fiber known for its strength, softness, and durability.

Unlike most bedding, which travels between several countries for spinning, weaving, dyeing, and sewing, our entire production takes place within the same region of Egypt. The cotton is grown, spun, woven, dyed, printed, and sewn close to its origin.

This keeps the process consistent, reduces unnecessary transport, and preserves the craft traditions behind the material.

It also means every piece carries the full story of its origin, from field to fabric.

Responsibility

Responsibility, for us, means creating products that last.

We focus on high-quality materials, local production, and reduced transport distances. By keeping every stage of production within one region, we minimize ecological impact while supporting skilled local craft.

Our approach is slow by design: fewer collections, thoughtful colors, and textiles built to live with you for years, not seasons.

Sustainability begins with choosing better, not more.
